What is particularly important to us at EWIA is the training and further education of our employees. Raw materials run out at some point, but education never does. Capital is derived from ‘head’ in Latin, so the capital of a company is what is in its heads.
We are delighted to welcome two new interns on board, who we would like to briefly introduce here: Tindwende Ariane Letitia Zongo and Kwadwo Asafo-Adjei.
Get to Know Ariane

Tindwende Ariane Letitia Zongo is a student at the Burkina Institute of Technology (BIT), where she completed a bachelor's degree in renewable energy. Ariane has a strong interest in technology and sustainable energy solutions, especially solar energy and biomass. As part of her internship, the 22-year-old is gaining experience in the dimensioning, simulation and installation of solar systems.
Get to Know Kwadwo

Kwadwo Asafo-Adjei graduated from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in 2022 with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Kwadwo's passion for solar energy began when he worked as a PV installer at a local trading and technology company on a one-month contract in January 2024. During this time, he gained hands-on experience installing solar panels, which deepened his interest in the field of solar energy. For this reason, Kwadwo also attended a solar training course in May 2024, which gave him a comprehensive understanding of solar energy systems. In the same year, he helped install a 1.26 MW solar system on the roof of a mall in Accra.
Based on this, Kwadwo joined us as a technical intern to gain further experience in the development of solar PV projects including system design, monitoring and installation. He enjoys reading science fiction novels and watching films, as well as data analysis in Python.
Never Change a Winning System
We have already had very good experiences with the BIT and students from Ghana's French-speaking neighbour Burkina Faso in the past. You can find out more about the BIT, the TUM S.E.E.D. and our connection there here. The TU Munich also has a co-operation with KNUST, so that EWIA has been able to benefit from the good training here on several occasions.
Incidentally, we fulfil three UN sustainability goals that are close to our hearts, namely 4 (‘Quality education’), 5 (‘Gender equality and women's empowerment’) and 8 (‘Decent work and economic growth’).
We are delighted that Ariane and Kwado will now be accompanying EWIA for a while!
